A
kindergarten teacher at Plantation Park Elementary, Ms. O’Brien,
wanted her students to participate in an art project. She created the
overall design and the students submitted drawings. Ms. O’Brien
was awarded a grant through the Decentralized Art Fund (DAF) of Louisiana,
administered by the Bossier Arts Council. My role in this collaboration
was to assist in the painting of the mural and to help the students paint
their designs in specified areas.
