This room size piece was painted under the direction of trompe l’oeil artist Skip Dyrda.
The initial surface was created by surface designer Patti Halstead and later embellished by myself and Skip by adding further texture and oversized Asian 'chops'.
I then painted the background artwork upon which Skip rendered his life-like elements of surprise and whimsy.
Yes- this was Skip's idea.
